The workmanship of construction by CSL and their subtrades was of a quality provided by only the most competent and experienced firms in the industry. CSL’s site personnel were very professional and communicated clearly and proactively. The construction site always appeared to be well organized around the Owner’s operations.
CSL met the schedule and constructed the work in accordance with the specifications and drawings. They met the tight timeline schedule to avoid any client problem delivery issues. CSL was very good to deal with and responded quickly to any issues. Collaborative Structures did an excellent job to meet the client’s requirements so no programs were affected.
Throughout the construction process, CSL played a pivotal role in delivering the project on time and on budget. CSL was very active at resolving various existing site conditions and avoiding costly impacts on the budget and schedule. When negotiating additions to the contract price, CSL was fair and honest in providing the acceptable industry standard costs and at the same time keeping up with the schedule without any contract time adjustments. CSL’s customer service is very professional and without delay, approached all situations during and after the construction process with integrity and extreme reliability. It would be a pleasure to collaborate with CSL on any of our future projects.
Numerous customers from recently completed projects gave glowing referrals of the company’s personnel and quality of work. Based on this, the Town of Fort Erie awarded the Construction tender to CSL and promptly met with their staff. It quickly became evident that CSL staff was extremely knowledgeable and very well prepared for the work ahead. I am pleased to report that our project was in fact completed several months ahead of schedule and within our allotted budget.
Conestoga had an excellent working relationship with CSL throughout the project, and we worked collaboratively with them to find solutions to issues that arose through construction. Conestoga has worked with CSL on several subsequent projects, and they have continued to be responsive to our requests and work well with our staff.
CSL has clearly demonstrated that they can quickly understand what is required and successfully translate it into a finished product. Our new Forensic Identification labs are state-of-the-art, and CSL not only built three of these facilities, but helped other contractors building similar labs for the OPP in other parts of the Province simultaneously, to understand the complex intricacies so that they, too, could successfully complete their projects.
CSL’s involvement moved the project forward with an attitude that was solution oriented, proactive and refreshingly straightforward. CSL always behaved in a professional manner, ready to listen and cooperate to solve the innumerable issues and surprises that inevitably accompany a heritage project of this nature for Niagara Falls History Museum.
We maintained a high level of confidence in CSL’s ability to manage and coordinate the activities of the trades and solve problems when issues arose while including Flanagan’s in the decision-making process.
We had a lot of trust in CSL’s ability to get things done and they did meet our goals on the overall project. CSL is now part of the official bidders list we are using when we do construction projects. It was a pleasure to work with them. We will recommend working with CSL for other projects.
I have found CSL to be an exceptional firm, showing creativity and innovation in construction management and in problem solving. CSL has clearly demonstrated they listen and understand the City’s approach toward construction projects.
Communications between CSL and us were excellent and we always felt that we had a good understanding of the progress and timeline of the project throughout. I was particularly impressed by the fact that Communitech obtained occupancy of the new space by the date promised by CSL.
The University of Guelph retained Collaborative Structures Limited (CSL) to act as the Construction Manager for our recently completed Tunnel & Stairway Repairs – Phase I project. This $4 million dollar infrastructure project was both technically and logistically difficult to complete. CSL successfully completed the project on time and on budget. They provide quality work; their pricing is fair, and their staff is both courteous and professional. I recommend CSL for any construction projects that you may have. Should you wish to discuss my experience with them, please feel free to reach out. Justin Selby, P.Eng., MBA, Associate Director, Capital Development, University of Guelph
