Wellington County Library

This Construction Management project involved a complete renovation to the Wellington County Library, originally constructed in 1903. It is one of the original five Carnegie Library buildings in the County and required extensive interior and exterior renovations due to elemental damage and wear over time. The building received heritage restoration and structural repairs throughout the two storey, 5,000 sq. ft. library and 3,110 sq. ft. basement auditorium. The heritage restoration showcased our ability to restore, utilize, and incorporate existing historical features of the original design while modernizing the building to provide accessibility and functionality to a growing community. Features of the completed project include; complete barrier-free accessibility throughout the building, including an elevator with access to all levels, a new digital media lab located on the basement level, and restoration to the exterior to capture and sustain the historic value of the original structure.
