WRPS Backup Communications Centre Third Floor Renovation

CSL was engaged as the General Contractor to renovate a 4,700 sq. ft. portion of the third floor at the Waterloo Regional Police Services Central Division facility. This post-disaster-designed facility had an unfinished third floor from a previous renovation, intentionally left in a base-building state to accommodate future expansion. At the time of tender, the space consisted of concrete flooring, new windows, gypsum walls, and minimal provisions for HVAC, lighting, and sprinkler systems.

CSL successfully completed the full interior fit-out, including the installation of all finishes and upgrades to the existing HVAC, plumbing, electrical, lighting, sprinkler, IT, and AV systems. The scope of work also included the construction of an adjacent storage room to support evidence management operations. As the facility is in the process of achieving LEED Silver accreditation, all renovations were executed in compliance with the required performance standards. The newly completed space now features modern workstations with partitions and a dedicated staff kitchen and lounge area, providing a functional and comfortable environment for personnel.
