Meadowbrook Retirement Residence & Linked Townhomes

This Construction Management project was a renovation and addition of an existing, occupied, retirement residence. CSL constructed a new three-story addition that added 42 suites to the facility. The three-story addition consisted of bulk excavation on the subgrade to permit the construction of cast-in-place concrete grade beams on a micropile foundation. Site services were tied in at the property line to feed all new mechanical, electrical, sprinkler, communication, and security to the building. Precast concrete hollow core floors, structural steel, and misc metals formed the structure of the building. Brick veneer, metal siding, vinyl windows, and aluminum framed glazing completed the exterior façade. The building envelope will be capped with a shingle roof with a roof membrane system for the linked structure. 14 new single-storey-linked townhomes will also be constructed along the east property line with associated landscaping. The town-homes were constructed using concrete foundations and a wood-framed structure, with a wooden roof and shingles.
